The OUCAGS funding scheme to support Clinical Lecturers with caring responsibilities aims to assist the career progression of Clinical Lecturers by enabling those with caring responsibilities to better balance their careers with those responsibilities.

Two awards in latest round of oucags clinical lecturer carers scheme

The scheme funds activities which support career and professional development. Under the latest round of the scheme (autumn 2014), funding was awarded towards research assistant salaries (2 recipients). Previous awards under the scheme have also included funding towards consumables, management and leadership courses, and a secondment to research laboratories abroad.

The funding scheme is for post-doctoral Clinical Lecturers to support the development of their research career during or following a prolonged period of leave to care for a child or close relative.
