Our ‘Introduction to Medical Research: Essential Skills’ course provides an overview of key steps and common methods in medical research and its publication.


In Hilary 2018 the course will run on the following Saturdays:


Module 1. Research planning: before you start your research project

  • 3rd February 2018, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Module 2. Research design and protocol

  • 21st April 2018, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Module 3. Statistical thinking  

  • 28th April 2018, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Module 4. Research publication and dissemination

  • 12th May 2018, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.


The course is available to Oxford Foundation School doctors free of charge.
