Oxford DPhil students are invited to find out about clinical academic careers in ‘Developing a clinical academic career: experiences from the front-line’. This event is being organised by OUCAGS and will take place on Tuesday, 3rd May 2022, 12:00-14:30, online.

Clinical DPhil Paths series

The event will comprise an overview of clinical academic paths, talks by postdoctoral academic doctors, careers surgeries, and a networking session.

It will be a chance for delegates to find out about, and discuss with speakers, possible clinical academic career paths and concrete opportunities to develop their post-DPhil career.

The event is aimed at Oxford clinical DPhil students. It is also open to other Oxford doctors with DPhils/PhDs and anyone affiliated with the University of Oxford or a local NHS Trust who has an interest in clinical academic careers.

  • 12:00 Overview of clinical academic career paths – Professor Chris Pugh, OUCAGS
  • 12:15 Post-doctoral clinicians share their experiences of developing a clinical academic career in two parallel sessions
