Dr Maxime Taquet, Academic Clinical Fellow (ACF), and colleagues have found ‘evidence for substantial neurological and psychiatric morbidity in the 6 months after COVID-19 infection’.

The study, which is the largest of its kind so far, was published in The Lancet Psychiatry. It was led by Paul Harrison, Professor of Psychiatry, University of Oxford.

Dr Taquet, who conducted the analyses, is a clinical academic trainee on the NIHR Integrated Clinical Academic Pathway. Before becoming an ACF, he was an Academic Foundation trainee, also with OUCAGS.
