We support clinical academic doctors and surgeons

We provide a wide-ranging programme of support and professional development for all Oxford doctors in training who are on an academic programme.

This infrastructure explicitly values and protects the development of academic excellence, and is continuously developed in response to feedback from our academic doctors.

Our provision includes seminars, accredited research training, overseas academic and clinical placements, assistance with identifying funding opportunities, and careers guidance.

We also support the development of clinical competencies by close liaison with clinical supervisors. This is to ensure that our academic doctors achieve at a consistently high level, so delivering the greatest benefit to their patients.

Since our foundation in 2009, we have catered for over 300 doctors undertaking combined clinical and academic training.
